We start at the rooftop bar in the Spanish coastal seaport of Bilbao overlooking the city skyline at twilight. You may make some time on your arrival to visit the 2nd of the famous Guggenheim Museums. From Bilbao, we begin our journey to France along the rugged Basque coastline through small fishing villages to arrive at the iconic seaside town of San Sebastian for Tapas and Sangria in the old town. Our green route inland toward the Pyrenees is carefully chosen for smooth quiet roads all the way with the option to bag the trophy climb of Col d’Aubisque on arrival to Lourdes.

This route was chosen to offer exceptional landscape and cultural experiences on a route that is not too challenging.

This stage of our tour is a contrast to our Atlantic experience and completes the long play of our ride Coast to Coast. Leaving Girona we head southeast to the Costa Brava coast. Over the next eight days, we will venture up the spectacular Mediterranean coast. The first few days our tour takes us through small seaside fishing villages through many small tourist towns that are too far from cities to be crowded and are often unoverlooked. You will find our route to be less challenging along the coast away from the big mountains often visible in the distance with warmer conditions and time to enjoy the sea. Deep in Catalan country, we will indulge in the cuisine and the wines of Spain and Languedoc while uncovering the rich history of the Mediterranean. En-route to Avignon, we will swim under Pont du Gard (bucket list item) and offer an optional tour to St Remy and Le Musee des Lumières.
